Stop worrying about what others think, and learn to feel comfortable within yourself!
It sounds easy to say, especially if you are already full of confidence. But when you have struggled in the past, it doesn’t come easy.
So, how do you find that inner sparkle?
- Make the decision to change
- Find some help – it won’t happen on its own
- Surround yourself with like-minded positive people who will help lift you up
- Commit to change for the long-term
That is exactly what Caroline did.
She knew she needed to make some changes to her health and fitness. She took a giant leap and made the first step. She started participating in Portland Parkrun. This was a fabulous first step to surrounding herself with others who had similar goals. She started off walking, improving her times week by week. She found a buddy who would meet her and share her enthusiasm.
She then started coming to FIRE training with us at PT@home. Here she also found others just like her; women who would not attend a conventional gymnasium. Week by week she got stronger, then realised she was ready to take the next step and learn more about nutrition by completing 6 months of MP Nutrition. Caroline identified her habits that needed attention, and began working on them one at a time. She started doing cook-ups and getting more prepared and started to see her body changing.
That personal best at Park run is getting shorter. Those weights are getting heavier. The centimetres are coming off her body (69cm in total so far) and most importantly, that inner confidence is GROWING! Caroline now rocks her leggings and tighter fitting top – she is overcoming that fear of worrying about what others think and is feeling much more comfortable in her own skin. YAY!
